SFO Museum’s Video Arts program provides visibility to a range of contemporary artists and filmmakers who are at the leading edge of their craft. From short-form documentaries and narratives, to experimental films and all forms of animation, Video Arts brings you the thought-provoking, innovative work of today’s filmmakers.
SFO Museum’s Video Arts gallery is located pre-security on the departures level of International Terminal with daily operating hours of 8:00am to 10:00pm.
SFO Museum reviews exhibition proposals from artists and filmmakers on a rolling basis. Video Arts is currently programming four new films each month that are 10 minutes or less in duration. Due to our operation in a public space, Video Arts does not program work that features overt sexual or violent content. Those who are interested in participating may submit their work via our online form, here.
Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Join us in celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month at SFO — from a musical animation about two neighbors, to a portrait of a South Asian father and his bodybuilding son. Other films include an animation that brings life to everyday kitchen items, and an intimate story about a Chinese immigrant mother who’s looking for better housing for her children. SFO Museum’s Video Arts program is excited to share these deeply personal AAPI stories.
