SFO Museum’s Video Arts program provides visibility to a range of contemporary artists and filmmakers who are at the leading edge of their craft. From short-form documentaries and narratives, to experimental films and all forms of animation, Video Arts brings you the thought-provoking, innovative work of today’s filmmakers.
This gallery is located pre-security on the departures level of International Terminal with daily operating hours of 5:00am to 10:00pm.
SFO Museum reviews exhibition proposals from artists and filmmakers on a rolling basis. Video Arts is currently programming four new films each month that are 20 minutes or less in duration. Due to our operation in a public space, Video Arts does not program work that features overt sexual or violent content. Those who are interested in participating may submit their work via our online form, here.
Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month
SFO is proud to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. From a young Filipina American reflecting on her life through a humorous take on Tagalog language instruction, to a young Asian American college student sharing his journey from self-hate to self love, and from a Korean American celebrating his identity through a love of Spam, to an animated short illustrating familial love, SFO Museum’s Video Arts program shares four distinctive Asian American voices exploring the intersection between their lived experiences in America and their Asian heritage.
