Video Arts

Video Arts Room International Terminal

SFO Museum’s Video Arts program provides visibility to a range of contemporary artists and filmmakers who are at the leading edge of their craft. From short-form documentaries and narratives, to experimental films and all forms of animation, Video Arts brings you the thought-provoking, innovative work of today’s filmmakers.

This gallery is located pre-security on the departures level of International Terminal with daily operating hours of 8:00am to 10:00pm.

SFO Museum reviews exhibition proposals from artists and filmmakers on a rolling basis. Video Arts is currently programming four new films each month that are 20 minutes or less in duration. Due to our operation in a public space, Video Arts does not program work that features overt sexual or violent content. Those who are interested in participating may submit their work via our online form, here.

International Women’s History Month
Join us in celebrating International Women’s History Month at SFO! From a short film that documents Ghana’s first female surf club to a dance short set in Seoul that captures two hip hop dancers that inspire each other through movement. A visual poem about a Black woman’s search for her identity and an experimental short that serves to empower Iranian women are also on view this month. SFO Museum’s Video Arts program is honored to share these poignant stories.
