Video Arts

Video Arts Room International Terminal

SFO Museum’s Video Arts program provides visibility to a range of contemporary artists and filmmakers who are at the leading edge of their craft. From short-form documentaries and narratives, to experimental films and all forms of animation, Video Arts brings you the thought-provoking, innovative work of today’s filmmakers.

SFO Museum’s Video Arts gallery is located pre-security on the departures level of International Terminal with daily operating hours of 8:00am to 10:00pm.

SFO Museum reviews exhibition proposals from artists and filmmakers on a rolling basis. Video Arts is currently programming four new films each month that are 10 minutes or less in duration. Due to our operation in a public space, Video Arts does not program work that features overt sexual or violent content. Those who are interested in participating may submit their work via our online form, here.

Native American Heritage Month
Join us in celebrating Native American Heritage Month at SFO! Four different films explore unique Indigenous stories from across North America—from the first golf course to be built on a reservation, to an artistic celebration of environmental activism to protect Indigenous communities. An experimental film that traverses the memory of a place and space visited by the artist, and a film that explores impact and origins of lacrosse in First Nation communities are also on display this month in SFO Museum’s Video Arts gallery.
