Stuart Hall & Convent of the Sacred Heart High School:
Destinations

Stuart Hall is an all-boys, college-preparatory high school that is within the co-educational, four-school community known as the Schools of the Sacred Heart in San Francisco. Together with the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School, the schools follow the innovative model of Hall & Heart, which offers cross-registration in some classes and extracurricular activities and sports. The Schools’ educational goals are rooted in and directed by the standards of a Sacred Heart education–a worldwide organization with over 200 schools in over forty countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa.

Convent and Stuart Hall are located in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood. Drawing on a rich heritage, the diverse neighborhoods of San Francisco, and international connections, both schools provide a progressive, values-based program that is strong in art, math, science, and the humanities.

Every year, a school theme is selected to offer guidance and inspiration to students and staff. Destinations reflects the school’s overarching theme, “Path To . . .” The exhibition and theme embrace the value of open-mindedness and creativity. The artwork on display was created by ninth- through twelfth-grade students and ranges from literal destinations around the world to metaphorical ways of seeing destinations in thoughts and experiences.
