Join The Super Smile Team! Thirty-ninth Annual Children’s Poster Contest
Founded in 1869, the San Francisco Dental Society (SFDS) promotes oral health and is the recognized resource for dental professionals in the City and County of San Francisco. SFDS promotes and educates about dental health through numerous community-wide programs and volunteer efforts.
Imaginative imagery abounded in the thirty-ninth annual Children’s Poster Contest. The theme for the 2014 Contest was Join the Super Smile Team!, and approximately 1,200 posters were entered by students from San Francisco’s elementary schools. This contest, held in February during National Children’s Dental Health Month, facilitates learning about dental health through artistic inspiration and expression.
The artwork on display supports the fact that children have great imaginations.By recognizing the value of community, education, and bringing it all together with fun, color, and a little competition, everyone enjoys the benefits of helping young people learn the importance of proper dental hygiene.
