Video Arts

Video Arts Room International Terminal

SFO Museum’s Video Arts program provides visibility to a range of contemporary artists and filmmakers who are at the leading edge of their craft. From short-form documentaries and narratives, to experimental films and all forms of animation, Video Arts brings you the thought-provoking, innovative work of today’s filmmakers.

This gallery is located pre-security on the departures level of International Terminal with daily operating hours of 8:00am to 10:00pm.

SFO Museum reviews exhibition proposals from artists and filmmakers on a rolling basis. Video Arts is currently programming four new films each month that are 20 minutes or less in duration. Due to our operation in a public space, Video Arts does not program work that features overt sexual or violent content. Those who are interested in participating may submit their work via our online form, here.

Earth Month
Join us in celebrating Earth Month at SFO—from a film that examines environmental consciousness through the eyes of a big wave surfer to a documentary about recycling oyster shells on the South Louisiana coast to protect the shoreline. An experimental film set in the Dominican Republic exploring nature’s imprint on humanity through ritual traditions and a documentary detailing the truffle’s journey from earth to plate in Italy highlight Earth Month. SFO Museum’s Video Arts program is excited to share these intriguing stories.
